 Rick
Wemmers, Silver Bullets for Quick Revenue
Growth
(Editing, layout and
cover by Your Writing Partner)
Kay, you did a terrific job on my new
book! Your contributions were excellent
and really
helped me get my book finished in a
truly professional manner.
Couldn’t have done it without your many
helpful suggestions and value-adds. I
would gladly recommend any aspiring
author, especially with their first
book, to bring you aboard quickly.
Please let me know if you would like for
me to talk to any of your prospective
clients.
You can
purchase this book at
www.wemmers.com.
My
advice is to let Kay do the work and
here is why. As the CEO, you need to be
doing what only the CEO can do. Every
hour you spend on edits is an hour that
could be spent on the business. What
would take you or me a couple of hours
to do, editors like Kay can do in a few
minutes. Even if you edit it as well as
you can, she will still need to come
back and edit it anyway. When I coach
my CEO clients on writing a book, I
suggest that they speak into a digital
recorder...and that the transcription be
sent to an editor. Don’t invest your
time in doing something someone else can
do better. We creative geniuses who are
out to revolutionize the world do not
need to be doing the work of
specialists! I promise you, Kay has seen
it all. Your
manuscript will be a palette for her
when she receives it and a masterpiece
when she returns it to you.

(Editing, layout, cover, and website

Kay duPont is the consummate professional
who guides writers toward their ultimate
goals. She is knowledgeable in the field of
publishing and understands the complete
package from beginning to end. She is
organized and has developed a system that
encourages her clients to intellectually
stretch and feel a sense of accomplishment
once the book is completed. I know of
2-4 additional people who want to work with
Kay on writing their book, and I have
recommend her highly.

Kay was
fabulous to work with. She was inspiring,
prompt in feedback and
totally dedicated to
the project. I can truthfully say that our
book was light-years improved over what we
originally delivered due to Kay’s vision,
experience and hard work. Any time I have a
book or body of writing, Kay will most
definitely be my choice and I will be always
grateful for her counsel and expertise.

BJ Abraham, Professional
Storyteller, website:
www.bjabraham.com
(Website
enhancement by Your Writing Partner)
I
am so glad I
hired Kay duPont to “take over” my website.
I am still such
a “website
dummy” that I don’t even know how to word
what she did.
Basically, I had my domain name and website
through a different company and a different
individual who was my webmaster. After some
research, I decided to use Kay.
Unfortunately, she and I ran into an untold
number of problems with the FROM site and
the TO site (mostly the from) in getting my
domain and the site itself transferred to
the new carrier. I believe she must have
worked on it at least a little every day for
several weeks. She always kept me apprised
of where we were in the process.
When I could not understand the lingo, what
was going on, what “they” meant when they
sent me emails asking that certain things be
done or questions be answered, Kay was there
with the answers. Her response was always,
“Don’t worry . . . I’ll handle it.” And
handle it she did. From the transaction of
charging the fees online, to updating my
site and giving it a new
look, to researching and finding the best
and least expensive way for me to add events
via a calendaring system, to the total
finished product!
I was very pleased with how Kay handled
everything. If I had been
doing
it myself, I would have taken a gun and just
shot my website – if one could do such a
thing! But Kay was
always patient, gracious
and knowledgeable, and she got the job done!

There is no guess work with Kay. She

The Newton Rifle
(Editing and layout by Your Writing Partner)
Kay duPont put forth a
superb effort and very successfully
edited the book I wrote, "Newton
High Power Rifles." She was
extremely
easy to work with and patient with a
first time author. Although I debated
whether to get my book edited, I would
never have another book printed without
editing. Kay had not previously edited a
book on firearms and I consider that an
advantage. Many points that I took for
granted were clarified with Kay's
questions and help. I would highly
recommend Kay as an editor for any
written piece.

Craig Duncan, Marketing
Production Coordinator, The Prudential Bank
I appreciate your contribution to our
efforts. We were apprehensive about using a
proofreading service to review our
marketing materials because we believed the
service would be of little value. However,
you have taught us the importance of using a
professional service versus doing everything
in house many times when reviewing your
recommendations. In addition to your
recommendations, the quick, reliable
turnaround in jobs has also proven to be a
benefit.

Chris Carey, Creative Communication, Inc.
The Price and the Prize and Getting
to Know You
I
am very pleased to recommend Kay as an
editor, since she has worked with me in this
capacity on nearly a dozen projects in my
capacity as a ghost writer. I have used her
on books of several hundred pages and on
books as small as several dozen pages. As
you would expect, her understanding of
grammar and syntax is exceptional.
But, beyond those qualities,
she understands
people—how they think and how they live, so
she makes sure that our written materials
communicate well to our readers. ... Kay's
work is thorough, on time and accurate, but
she adds value in another dimension as she
looks for ways to help me better represent
my company in print.

greatly missed.)

Kay edited my first and second books.
She is fast,
affordable and a writing genius. I can
highly recommend her for any writing project
you might have. In addition to editing, she
can also design book covers and insert
graphics into the copy. Kay is ethical,
dependable and has an outstanding
reputation, both personally and
professionally.

Kay duPont is an excellent writing

looking for!

Phyllis

(Editing by Your Writing Partner)
Kay transformed my words
on paper into a beautiful work of art. Her
commitment to excellence lived up to my
perfectionist standards—solid editing,
perfect layout and distinctive styling. As
an author who lacks technical competence, I
trusted Kay to handle all the
details—dealing with the printer, page
layout, file uploads, etc.—tasks I had
absolutely no interest in undertaking. Her
take-charge attitude put me at ease. Her
caring customer service guaranteed a
polished finished product. Kay does not and
will not disappoint

There are
grammarians who can make our written words
correct. There are others who can take a
concept of ours and make it flow powerfully
in written form. But there are very few who
can do both. One is Kay duPont and she does

When I engaged you to be my writing partner,
I had never worked with a professional
editor. While I knew that I wanted to make my
writing as powerful as possible, I felt some
concern about the outcome. I feared that the
writing would be improved but perhaps the
finished product would be in your voice, not
mine. You took the time to ask
questions and understand what I wanted to
say. You stayed true to my intentions, my
words and my feeling. You simply worked your
magic of organizing and rearranging in order
to for the reader to stay engaged and get
the message. You handed the detailed
corrections, too—thank
goodness. I appreciate our partnership. I
will work with you again.

Many, many thanks for all your superb help

guiding me with the article and your work
with the editing and formatting was amazing!
You made it so much better than what I first
submitted. It looks just beautiful. I am so
pleased and proud of it, and much of the
credit goes to you. "Thank you" is not
adequate for the appreciation and
gratefulness I feel for your help.
Eric Watts, Graphic Designer
I am delighted to see that, for the first
time in two years, the newsletter finally
has an editor who actually edits.
I haven't
seen this much attention to grammatical
detail [in years]. The [previous] editors
acted primarily as collectors of
submissions, which were simply forwarded to
me with little or no editing or
proofreading. You're a true editor.
Congratulations! |
